The Rain Falls
the rain falls
creating a music
so soothing to the mind
it falls in cool
drops swinging
in rhythm with the wind
the rain falls
sometimes heavy
sometimes in a slow pace
upon roofs and
walls and sheds and
floor with an amazing grace
the rain falls
bringing relief
from the scorching heat
of summer and
it covers the earth
with a transparent sheet
