This road had sprawling shades
as a row of trees stood with grace
Trees with heads touching together
with branches holding hands
They seemed like a family,
close knit and non-virtual.
This road had an uncle's shop
that was a whole wide world in itself
With a few rupees in my fist
I bought all my heart wished
A treasure house of fantasy to which
childish feet sauntered with glee
This road had a house,
old in style, modern in thought
Its bricks peeping from behind the cement
but it had weathered many storms
It had withstood the influx of shallowness
Its simplicity was a shelter for inmates.
there are many things which have been cafted by poetic enthusiasm; readers can feel here own characterization by reciting the poem; excellent to read this; great*****
A lovely poem Nosheen, the greenery of the road, the uncle's shop from which you could buy wonderful stuff to your heart's content and a house that protected you from many a storms! Just lovely.
A poem showing extraordinary brilliance in the concept, phrasing and imagery. Enjoyed reading.
A fabulous poem. Your last stanza is my favourite though you have sketched different things along the road. Top score.
