Wonderful, superb naughtiness admissible in love expressed in an exquisite manner. Congrats on modern poem of the day and thanks for sharing it here.

'A night of love with you, a big baroque battle and two victories.' The poem begins as the declaration 'A night of love/ exquisite as' then continues with unique wonderful metaphors, the wonderful image of a 'concert from old Venice/ played on exquisite instruments', extends into the juxaposition of fresh unexpected contrasts, yet the last stanza proclaims the vastness of this love victory, as big as 'a big baroque battle' yet unlike battles to the death, this battle of love is a victory for both sides, both lovers. Wonderful images.

She is so lucky that she could wrestle this into words. Pleasure overflowed into her word-banks and plucked her strings.

Of course, madrigals were Rennaissance poem about love, but althought quite notorious at the beginning for celebrating the sensual aspects of love and ignoring Christian chastity and raising love to an absolute position previously only occupied by love of God, the madrigal further secularized medieval culture. Anne's begins where a Renaissance poem would end and climbs even higherr in the apotheosis of human love, and I say AMEN TO THAT!

Healthy as a buttock of a little angel................................................... Fantastic. Marvelous with its intense passion. Non-entity getting its stimulating manliness. The credit of a poet to personify such abstract which only resides within human brain. Great by its degree of representing boldness.
