I climbed a Hill
When light and dark were fighting
Where there were no people around
Only the grass, touch me not
And wild flowers
The light above spread
Like watercolors
Yet slowly the fiery colors
Were subdued by black.
Here at the Hill
I poured my heart out
All hurts that lingered
And lurked inside my heart
I cursed
I punched
I kicked
I slandered
I cried.
Here at the Hill
Where the stars are nearer
No one is hurt
The Sky
The Hill
Are the silent witnesses
Of my weakness.

One of the best poems by Rose Marie Juan Austin, her thinking and imagination is at the peak, she can now understand the hidden bitter truths of this endless universe, she now changes her philosophic thoughts in great poems like this.

Something drew me to this poem again. It may be simple spontaneous expressions, may be its forthrightness, whatever, but poem is deeply appealing, it touches the inner cord and jells with your being. It is more beautiful than I thought earlier.

(3) This marvelous poem goes to MyPoemList. A powerfully worded poem, one of your very best and one I admired most (to be honest, I admire many of your poems) , dear Mrs. Juan- Austin. I am also happy to be back again from the tropical Thailand, since I do miss my favourites on Poem Hunter Poems Site. To have started reading your poems to add my comments and other responses, is a great relief for me. (to have started)
