Promise stands for truthfulness,
commitment and assurance
One should not promise unless
he has the intentions to keep, because
When a promise is broken
One's credibility will be gone.
Promises can be silent
Promises can be loud.
In silent prayers we beg
Almighty to give us strength
To keep our promise.
In marriage ceremony
Bride and bridegroom exchange
Vows to remain committed
Through thick and thin.
We may promise to ourselves
To remain true to our principles to discharge our duty
Towards our family and society.
To keep promise is to remain determined
And not to be timid in the face of adversities.
Promise is a responsibility
It is one's strength showing
the character of the person
It is a burden
If viewed negatively
It is a strength
If we discharge our commitment truthfully.
If only everyone kept their promises, what a wonderful world this would be!

I would like to translate this poem
'Through thick and thin' well, well written! There is no way to finish a life, after promising to a woman as your forever bride, than to live it with steadfast commitment and love till the end. This poem is a perceptive masterpiece! Thank you for sharing this poem!
