The Submerged Gift
An extraordinary gift
within your soul,
left stagnant..
left to fade...
It became a liability
of the choice you made.
Now,
it sits like an Unstruck Match
submerged in water,
incapable of giving light--
a reminder of what
you failed to achieve--
cutting into your peace of mind.
