I saw the Tiger appearing
I dunno anymore when
of course, I still remember
it was on the first of February
the best friends are all calling
'Sin Tjun Kiong Hie' Sylvie
I don't know what the words exactly mean
but some say also "Gong Xie Fat Choi",
like old-fashioned words renewed again
now and then
I don't celebrate
I only felicitate
hum and sing
when the Ox was disappearing
and the proud Tiger took its place
for the next 12-months race

I liked how the great Poetess had woven this fantastic poem. So simply crafted yet so cleverly expressed and presented. Liked the closure lines. To my Poem List.
