When the stony silence
Becomes a shadow
Of internal monologues
And loneliness peeps out
Of door apertures....
Don't write a word!
When evening
Heavy with sorrow
Descends from the roof-tops
Sterile scenes play hide and seek
On paths coming from afar
And eyes placed on cornices
Gather dust of dreams....
Don't write a word!
When letters that spell
Yours name and my name
Get moth-eaten
And words suffocate to death
In closeted books of our lives
A story
You ought to write then
Without a word in it!

Deeply thought provoking Naseer words are a poor substitute for communication heart to heart
A very moving poem Naseer, beautiful in its content, well written my friend, 10 Lynda xx
Written with great depth, and enjoyable flow.... Very good my friend... Bonnie
Sentiments here are confidently expressed through unfamiliar yet apt imagery and metaphors. Impressive writing.
Sitting among the ruins of life I sift my fingers in the sand Gossamer cobwebs hang Sparkling in the sun The shadows seem long The corners look so dark Silence hangs heavy Like velvet curtains of yore A cat crosses me and I remember the one on your lap The rose bush it still blooms Watered with my daily tears No care it seems to have Words are futile and empty I don't need words to speak You just read my mind Sitting in my heart you sing And I silently listen - While Those around call me Mad!
Another thought provoking poem full of your wisdom Naseer. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful talent with us. :)
A wise advice but then you assume that we want to write about the deep matters. A great write for those who can benefit!

Silent story of a life is the memories only known by the people who made them... Beautiful Naseer
