They Are Worthy Poets Poem by Ernestine Northover

They Are Worthy Poets

Rating: 5.0

Scarlett Treat I would love to meet,
to bump into her down a Mississippi street.
Pity that it is so far away,
there are loads of things I would like to say,
to her in person.

Duncan Wyllie he’s really great,
I’d definitely class him as someone first rate.
I’ve spoken to him over the phone,
His voice comes across with a dulcet tone
so pleasing to hear.

Andrew Blakemore’s poems are the tops,
and should be sold across UK in all the shops,
For everyone would get a blessing,
with sheer magic that his poems are expressing
filling them with joy.

Ivor Hogg’s a talented man.
His poetry covers a really sweeping span,
of life that he has viewed with such skill,
sadness, happiness, humour, he surveys it still,
to captivate us.

David Harris, a friend for sure.
Lynda Robson, Fay Slimm, and Oh so many more,
Sid Gardner, is also in the frame,
Meggie Galtiano always a steady flame,
so constant and true.

Marilyn Lott, and Charles Audette,
Apart from David and Sid, we’ve never yet met.
Here on poemhunter lot’s of my friends
are fonted words perhaps a photo from a lens,
This helps make them real.

Linda Ori and, Stephen Stirk.
venture into PH and see some of their work,
They’re clever writers their work’s supreme,
All mentioned, are very high up in my esteem,
they are worthy poets.

Many more I would call my friend,
All producing poems so brilliantly penned.
Thank you all for your friendship and love
May God bless everyone from heaven above.
you’re all so special.

What a lovely tribute to 'Cyber' friendship this poem is! It never ceases to amaze me that I can care so much about someone I have never met...or maybe I should say have never seen face to face, for I know I have 'met' you in the truest sense. We are the kindred spirits of this poetic world, and it truly does bring us all together here. Thank you so much for expressing our friendship in such a complimentary way! And let me say that the feeling is shared, for I would truly love to meet you too, face to face, over a cuppa, and talk for hours and hours! Linda Scarlett
