It is not the full moon that frightens me
Nor the darkness
Strong northern breezes that whirl
Nor the quiet of the night
Tis the face I see each eve as I close my eyes and dream
A face like a yon’ lighthouse’s beam
Angel eyes shinning in my slumber
Soft tender lips that make my heart burn bright
Drawing me closer caught within the beauty of your touch
I fall beneath your spell… lost without human sight
We dance upon billowing white clouds…. Time fades away
The enhancement ends and the sun streams upon my bed
Frightened only by the thought of you…
When my eyes awaken and I find…
My beloved not at my side…
Gorgeous penning here Patricia. Really enjoyed it and the concept behind it. I can understand how afraid you must be to open your eyes when you've lived such a fantastical love in the deep of the night.... Beautiful and image-rich. HG: -) xx
Ph... I SO know this feeling... the fear of desertion or loss is perhaps the heaviest fear of all. Finely scribed P. t x
