Three things never come back,
the lost time, the spoken word
and the departed soul.
Three things can not be
hidden long,
The sun, the moon and
the lies we tell.
Verbs come in
three tenses,
a man has a past, a present
and a future;
The past is gone,
the future is not known,
we should not mar our present
brooding over our past
and future expectation.
Three things come once only
in every one's life;
birth, lifespan, death.
Forgiveness, forbearance
Compromise are the
three pillars in life's path
Three things should be
practised in daily life;
Love, generosity and courtesy.
Three things should be
avoided always;
anger, lust and jealousy.
Men must learn from
the three wise monkeys statue
in the pictorial maxim in Japan.
See no evils, hear no evils
and speak no evils as
those are the best plans of action.
Hurry, worry and spiced curry
are the root causes for which
we become sorry.
Hence let's stay calm,
think for a while
and then leap into action
as life can not be changed
in a minute, but a minute's mistake
can generate a lot of
harsh conditions.

This is without a doubt e of the most wonderful and greatest poems ever. It embraces all the major aspects of life and at the same time teaches us so much. Thank you for this great Masterpiece that so enriches our lives
This magnificent poem is still going strong, which means in my thoughts: it is a poem with so much power that it is constantly necessary in our life, past, present and future. Thank you for sharing this wisdom, Dr. Dash
In modern English, we talk of two tenses. There is no future tense. Future is an extension of present tense. We have no command over past, we can only rely on the present. A wonderful poem.
If we follow the wisdom set forth in this spellbinding poem, we will surely have a great journey in life. To my Poem List.
