truth—obscurity
eyelids shutting the windows

======================================== ** ORIGINAL MESSAGE ******************** ======================================== From: Daniel Brick To: Mihaela Pirjol Date-Time: 10/31/2014 11: 59: 00 AM (GMT -6: 00) Subject: RE TRANSCENDING - wonderful poem - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The code failed, my comment got erased. I'll reconstruct it... The title of this poem is brilliantly expressed in the closing two lines which identify a love union fully achieved A ROMANTIC DREAM OF TWO MERGED IN A PURE WHITE HARMONY. I used the word brilliantly above because it expresses the light imagery which runs through the passage. And the phrase PURE WHITE HARMONY is one of those metaphors that comes to us poets when we are inspired! It has a wholeness of expression which cannot and need not be further analyzed. Enough said. At the very center of the poem is another word ILLUMINATING that conveys light. Everything shines.

I feel as though I'm becoming a broken record. Have I ever told you that you're my favorite tanka poet? I mean that! It's interesting I just wrote a poem which you already commented on in dual doppleganger duel. Which touches on this subject as well. When I read this I could hear someone reading this at a cool, calm & collected catdaddy jazz type club. Open mic poetry for sure. It has an appeal like much of your writting that carries depth for the deep thinkers but also a shallow surface for those that don't like to think too hard on trying to understand a poem. You've always done this rather effortlessly which in all actuality is not an easy thing to do. Your titles say it all and your poetry reinforces exactly what the title says to the T which I really like about your poems. This poem takes you on a journey in few words of that process in trancending. For those that practice certain types of meditation this speaks right to the heart of the subject. You can literally almost feel those vibrations and the energetic buzzing within your body/mind as you feel your kundalini rising from the base of your spine on up and out through your minds eye continuing you watch the 2 spiraling lights merge into one riding that spiral to an elevated state that many people have never experienced. Great poem I love you work!

The chiaroscuro of a painting relating to feelings, very well done. Amazing!
