Treat Of The Day Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Treat Of The Day

Rating: 5.0

It's time to wrap up snug and warm,
For winter has arrived,
It's time to face the frosty morn,
Beneath the clear blue sky,
The birds now face a mighty task,
Finding food to eat,
No juicy worms to treat themselves,
From the frozen ground beneath,
So fill your feeders to the brim,
Your garden tables too,
Help these poor hungry mites,
For treats are far and few,
Just spare a thought and give a hand,
Help nature on its way,
Embrace those little garden birds,
With a special treat a day.
