Until Your Final Breath Poem by Practicing Poetess

Until Your Final Breath

Rating: 5.0

If you smiled
From the day you were born,
Go out smiling.

If you sang
E'en before you could talk,
Go out singing.

If you danced
Once you learned how to stand,
Go out dancing

If you laughed
Frequently as a child,
Go out laughing.

If you shared
Every toy that you had,
Go out sharing.

If you preached
Ever since you could speak,
Go out preaching.

If you loved
Every person you've known,
Go out loving.

Be your best
At whatever you do,
Until your last breath.

A nice structure to the poem, the first line in the stanza picked up by the third. 'Go out sharing'-good. I will try these things until my last breath.

I agree. That is why we write and a lot of other things we all are compelled to do. Well said.
