Upon My Return
Wait for me tonight
when the moon is high
and the sky is bright.
Wait for me as I have waited for you
a thousand times
more than the shores
have awaited the waves.
Wait for my return, my love,
just as I'd dreamily do
through lonely nights
with tired eyes
and more love in my heart
than there is blue
in the sky.
Wait for me tonight
with loving thoughts
and open arms.
I'm coming home to you.
