Wires crossed and coalesced
Notions tossed and second-guessed
Flickers lost and flames suppressed
Die embossed upon the breast.
Brian, always knew you had that certain brilliance! ! ! ! You're writing is absolutely - A list! ! ! ! Keep 'em comin' please!
Nice poem, you paly with words like a piece of cake. Thank you for sharing Mr. Brian Mayo.
This is a really cool poem. I like the way you've played with the rhyme scheme, the rhythm, and the placement of alliteration in the beginning, middle, and end of the words. Very clever. The poem itself is also meaningful. To me it speaks very succinctly about a failed relationship, star crossed lovers, feelings forever imprinted, but still a failure. Not a failure of a poem though. Compelling and well done. You've taken very familiar metaphors and made them sound new.
