Valentine's Day! —the most romantic day!
When I decorate my room with romance:
White teddy-bears heart-eyed and cute,
Glancing at me from a bouquet of red roses;
Chocolate boxes with chocolate sweet-hearts:
(Choking on tears, memories imagined...):
Love-songs with velvety voices of virginal brides,
Dreaming of boudoir-cuddling in candlelight
Of sensual red, rose-petals sheets of slippery silk,
Slippery through clenched fingers in ecstasy...
An anonymous valentine-card of a poetic heart,
With subtle words inflaming my cheeks with desire:
Kindling the love-fire with fairy-like fantasies;
A secret journey, solitary through the dreams:
An amplitude of oneiric breeze of anticipation;
A revelation of an ardent, and mysterious affection
Arousing senses with an increased perception,
As whispers of silk-veils in the wind of heart
Culminating in celestial beatitude...
Echoes resounding in the sound of music,
Energising the spirit with romantic opulence,
And butterflies of the juvenile euphoria...

Glances through fluttering eyelashes,
Between timidity and fire;
Glances coy, and blushing cheeks,
Ardent fire and knees weak;
Butterflies from stomach fly
Into the celestial abysmal sky;
With soaring wings spread wide and white:
(Love's now soaring out of sight...) :
Elating high with blood on fire,
Parted lips, and gaze transfixed
Upon the idol of desire:
Sets the ardent hearts on fire!
Diaphanous rosy night-gown train,
Corona of rose-buds on long blonde hair;
Confetti-rain, rose petals, feathers,
Thunder of effervescent champagne;
Lightning, shudder of irises, dilated pupils,
And eyelids sealing oaths of hearts:
This tempest, Love brought into our hearts!
This fiery fury, these fervent feelings,
Inundate with former dove-love immaculate;
Purifying souls through fire:
Impeccable beneath the rosy dawn...
Admiring a male marble sculpture,
It is like looking into my femininity,
While an instinctual smile
And a girlish timidity,
Make me look away—
As embarrassed of my own nature,
And my imaginings.
