Love is draining from my life,
quietly as it came;
and paradoxically, leaves me
dispossessed of life itself:
Nature—it is all that is left of life!
And I quench my thirsty soul
on its verdant vitality,
as plants do on sun and rain:
I have become a vegetable,
in a vegetative state of survival: —
that it should be enough!
This faculty of mind, and heart,
has only brought disaster…
I can better endure natural disasters:
they pass—
these human agonies...they never do!
Love is there in nature and love is here in life. Love is beautiful and this carries mercy of light. In a vegetative state of survival faculty of mind guides life amazingly. Thirsty soul searches for wisdom to overcome natural disasters. An amazing and brilliant poem this is. Love unites souls with God....10
A very unique and perceptive write. A poignant state of life was brilliantly presented that a reader could feel the strong emotions felt by the poet. It conveys the harsh realities of life.Very impressive and well executed piece.10
I find a lot of emotions reflected in this beautiful poem! .....I have become a vegetable, in a vegetative state of survival.....I appreciate the depth of imagination! The last stanza is insightful!
Your heart is laid bare with all its aches and sores before your readers! If love is gone, still it can come back any time! Be hopeful! Each sunset follows a sunrise! A poignant write so moving and powerfully rendered. Mihaela!
