Vedas 3 - The Broad Division Of The Vedas Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Vedas 3 - The Broad Division Of The Vedas

Rating: 5.0

Vedas could be broadly divided
Into two categories:
The Karmakanda and
The Jnanakanda!

The Karmakanda consists mainly of
Rituals with various formulas
How to perform these rituals,
How to strictly follow the rules laid down.

The Jnanakanda is
Highly philosophical,
Highly esoteric,
Highly spiritual!

The concept of various forms
Many attributes,
Multiple entities,
May be visible to a naked eye!

A deeper study and analysis will
Arrive at a thrilling knowledge of
Unity of All - the dynamic Oneness,
Union of Man, God and the Universe!

This is interesting. So, basically of these two parts, the Karmakananda is more about rituals and the Janakananda is about the philosophical aspects of Vedic philosophy. Thanks for sharing Dr Menon.
