Waiting For You Poem by MAHTAB BANGALEE

Waiting For You

Rating: 5.0

it was night
it seemed you're coming
breaking the ornamental wall of fogs;

for you here I was sitting
with a full active heart
to utter- Welcome O My Love;

no; I didn't know
when you'll come;

but; I was sitting and waiting
on the one stalk, one petal
with beautiful fragrance;

I was sitting and waiting
into the inn of love;

the lamppost was there with its own light
the timepiece was there with its passage
the passerby was there; was coming-going-passing
my natural friend was sitting before me loyally
everything was there visualized on my sight

I was silent into me
no; I was not meditative
but eagerness for your coming;
I was drinking; was inebriated for your path;
I sought the light which is only You

O love; O love
at this age
still, I'm sitting here
and waiting for You.....
