I forgo marriage and motherhood
The reason was obvious
Poetry and art took up all my time
I had no desire to change nappies or wear white
I wasn't fooled by Madison Avenue
For wanting to wear diamonds and gold
But I needed a companion, so, I got a dog
My art and poems are my children
I create more than enough
And I need nothing but creativity
To burn my energy and desires away
Even with marriage and children, one can create art and poetry, of course in certainly less quantity.
I don't know if the contents of this write up is a story or reality but either way it's so seemingly fine.
