Bri has such a beady eye,
He picks out my mistakes,
A comma here a comma there,
Is that really what it takes?
To be the perfect poet,
To shine amongst the stars,
I forget to dot the i's again,
It won't do any harm.
I'm always up for comments,
So thanks again kind sir,
I'm pretty new to this old game,
And life's a learning curve.

4 stars for poem plus 1 more for mentioning my name.....twice! ! ! TOTAL = 5. : ) bri
Well thank you Bri : ) No mistakes? I must be improving with age : ) lol x
Carry on, Jayne! Pay no attention to Bri, though he's a good guy, with his beady eye.
Thank you everyone for your comments x Much appreciated : ) : ) xx
2) Poets writing in a conventional style can benefit from Bri's constructive criticism. However, a free verse writer/poet like Jack Kerouac would have been stopped in his tracks had he adhered to that type of constructive criticism. Free verse should not feel restictive!
If the mistakes are unintended, then that kind of constructive criticism is GREAT. However, if the mistakes are intended, and/or one is writing free verse, then that constructive criticism can hinder the poet/poetess.
I'm wondering if Bob Dylan is arrogant enough to think he's a good singer

SOme people have bad habit of poking their dirty nose everywhere, keep going and learn from the masters not from the jokers.
