What Would You Do? - Poem by Lexy Lehr
If you were told
Tomorrow you would die,
What would you do?
Would you break down and cry?
Would you eat the last of the bread made of rye?
Would you leave a relationship as it were?
Would you buy a coat of fox fur?
Would you bake a chocolate cake?
Would you sit by the lake?
Would you look up at the stars?
Would you put together a model of Mars?
Would you go to church and pray?
Would you, for the last time, say 'Hey, hey, hey! '?
If I were told tomorrow I would die,
I know what I'd do,
I'd break down and cry.
