I know your heart
Gentle like floret
Want to talk to you
Your lips closed tight
Deep eyes, tender flow
What do I expect
Young melilot
Bonny as morning light
Day to day open, so quiet
On a drifting wide-brim hat
Brilliant exposure. Words are used with skill. Thanks.
Oh...i forgot... your mention of melilotus/melilot....so cute...loved it we have loads of this lovely little wild herbaceous plant...its got a tangy leafy kind of fragrance...pleasant to the whiff.... :) sat
What a lovely image you've created here with the play between flower and human heart. What a great comparison. I've thought of this in regard to the negative side, but here you convey the beauty. Love that! This is a love poem! Thanks for sharing.

Even in silence, can't help reading it by voice that only deep of my heart can hear. like a song murmured long time ago, and till this moment, finally find it's lyric and melody.

Your title is so precise and sets up the poem perfectly. WHEN I GET TO KNOW YOU is a crucial moment of transition in dealing with a new person in your life. Once you're past that moment other things can happen freely, trust can be felt, risks can be taken. The poem relates almost a suspended moment - will she get to know other person? Yes or No? The poem doesn't answer that question, it takes up to the very moment the speaker seems ready to extend he trust, but there's no final answer - only hope and desire.
hi Daniel i have read a couple of your comments...lovely you are a pro with poetry... :)
