Where Were You? Poem by Falana Zion

Where Were You?

Rating: 5.0

Where were you?
In that silent night
Where were you,
During the dark time

Where were you?
When the oceans held its tide
When the life held the time
all to take a life

When the rivers flowed,
Without looking back
When the moon and the stars
Fell on the happy heart
Where were you?

When all looked blurry,
Like a saddening story
When the pages were no more glaring
Where were you

When the pages were about to close
When the tree was about to crumble
Where were you, where were you
O ye the breath of life

Here am I, my dear poet , imbibing aesthetic energy from your words of darktimes. Happy to read your melancholic melody, soothing with an echoing question... Desamangalam Ramakrishnan, Kerala, India

I love your tender subtlties along with your demands for an answer for the too often unanswerable and gut wrenching question of 'where were you'? It attacks my sensorium on many levels. It has an ebb and a flow, a low and a high tide
