Who'll be there to hold my hand?
Who'll be standing by?
Will any shed a tear for me
As I prepare to die?
Who'll be there to pray for me?
Who'll be there to sing?
And who'll be there to kiss my cheek
If I go in the spring?
Who can say these things for sure?
Guess I should not care.
I wouldn't if I knew my love
Was certain to be there.
So as the day draws closer,
Guess I'll dare to deign
To ask if she would care to come
And see me once again.
Should she come, I'm sure to leave,
Calm, without a care.
Joyful for all of those who came,
No matter who'll be there.
Even death easily If you are waited by the favourite.... Best wishes Tsita

I often wonder this myself. I am sure all that are important will be so. Written elegantly and leaves one pondering Who'll Be There?
This is brilliant- you can exress your raw emotions into poetry which makes the reader truly connect with the poem. A great poem, which asks us what man has asked for centuries, who will be there when we need them the most. Good write
