Why Are You So Far? Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Why Are You So Far?

Rating: 5.0

Here is your memory
Far is your soul,
Gone are the days
When once i felt whole.
Fresh are the whispers,
That blow through the trees,
Distance between us,
How i long to feel,
The sun on my face,
The breeze through my hair,
Back to those days,
When you were still there.
Miles stretch between us,
For heaven is far,
I long to reach out,
Beyond the bright stars.
Look down on me always,
Protect me from harm,
I miss you so dearly,
Why are you so far?

Jayne, another member mentioned a new poem by YOU, so I read it. I thought to make fun of part of it but YOU MIGHT be serious in your poem and I might offend or sadden you, so I won't. : )

Lovely poem, Jayne! At first I thought the title was 'Why are you so fat? '

Beautiful love poem. The pain of losing someone dear is nicely expressed. Thanks.
