Wild Flower Poem by Bernard Snyder

Wild Flower

Rating: 5.0

Much like the rose that grew
from the cracks of concrete,
I was also disregarded
and walked over repeatedly
some folks had even predicted
that I would fail immensely
because the odds weren't in my favor
and the cards were stacked against me,
but I kept my belief
in the talent God had given me
applauded the naysayers
for unknowingly giving me a burst of energy
because if it had not been for them
and those negative comments I had to withstand
I'm not sure I would've been so driven
to become the blossoming wild flower that I am.

Love it. I also get that burst of energy from naysayers and strive to prove them wrong but more so prove to myself I can do it. Great poem my friend. A 10

Motivational and very insightful. It does show that forces of the mind could be brought to bear on forces of fate. Beautiful poem well brought forth. Thanks for sharing my friend.

This poem embodies such a beautiful message Synder ! When we are trampled over and mercilessly criticized, we gain a fresh energy to prove otherwise and excel in our own way to the consternation of our detractors. May be because God is on our side! Lovely write! A 10
