Will I be ready when He comes,
that sinless Son of God?
Will I have stopped my sinful ways
and in His steps have trod?
Will I love all my fellow men,
my brothers, every one?
Will I cheer when He comes again,
be glad this life is done?
Will I forgive my sister Sue,
who took my fav'rite doll,
cut off her hair and all her clothes,
and smashed her on the wall?
Can I forgive those awful boys
who always called me fat?
It was the truth, but it still hurt;
there's no denying that.
Oh, I forgave them long ago
(that's what I tell myself) .
Those memories can be forgot;
I'll leave them on the shelf.
I need to work on other sins
that must be overcome.
Those sins are many, not a few;
it's quite a hefty sum.
Oh, Savior, give me strength to fight;
I can't do this alone.
With Thy help I can do it all,
but never on my own.
Nice poem Linda...forgiveness is highly favored by God...how wonderful when we receive His forgiveness for our sin and we in turn are blessed to be able to forgive others...
Indeed faith and hope always walk hand in hand and I believe in forgiving God so i think your sins a little ones. A beautiful poem on faith
A touching write on faith and forgiveness; each will help heal the heart and soul.
