World On It's Knees Poem by Dave Alan Walker

World On It's Knees

Rating: 5.0

As we beg for forgiveness
The world is on it's knees
begging for justice

If there's no justice
how can there be forgiveness
In a man made vicious circle
of hate and greed
A man made atom bomb
thats ready to explode

Who needs war to end the world
when we can do it for free

Thank you for speaking the words many dont find the will to speak. So many people think this but are so afraid they wont be listened to that they dont speak up. So thank you.

The last two lines are really powerful. Rather than money, man's heart is the root of all evil.

War destroys while love builds...... So no sensible man longs for war! Love enables us to forgive and from forgiveness emanates peace! A great poem!

I think I mean I know the world is already... dead and on its knees in some parts of the planet...a breath of fresh air to read a poem that shouts out the subject...regards
