Yoga 8 - Buddhi - The Greatest Gift
Buddhi can decide to pick,
The soft white pebbles
Over the hardened rocks;
To feel the satin touch of the rose petals
Over the stem with sharp thorns;
And to step serenely on the soft green grass!
Buddhi is wisdom,
God's greatest gift to mankind!
The ground of all intellectual processes,
The ground of comprehensive handling,
The ground of effort and will power,
To discern with care and precaution!
Buddhi - the intellect - to gain wisdom,
A reflection on true self!
Buddhi - to forcefully command
The mind and the sense organs,
To remain calm and undisturbed
By the glittering world of tempting objects!
Buddhi unlocks the many splendoured realms of the mind,
The great principle proudly standing beside
The Pure Consciousness reflected by its divine light!
Buddhi can choose to become a super power.
Directing the mind to obey its orders,
Guiding the senses to remain calm and tranquil!
