You Tried - Poem by Jelaine Delossantos
You tried to ignore the fact that I loved you.
You never even noticed at all.
You said there's nothing you could do, you just let me fall.
As I fell down, I took our story, or at least the one I knew.
The one you tried to deny, and said was never true.
It's now too late, because I'sm already gone.
This lonely life is only good in song.
I've left, I've been swept, I think I practically died,
and it's all because you my love, you never tried.
