You Were Here First- Locked And Loaded Poem by Ruby Honeytip

You Were Here First- Locked And Loaded

Rating: 5.0

She found your words,
You left them behind,
Words from an inked bullet.....
Her love was declined.
She took the hit,
Like she knew it was coming,
Just one burning shot,
No time to start running.
Well, her dreams have fallen,
To where her intuition is hidden,
Her hopes scattered like bubbles,
Popped in chaotic collision.
Your name in her mouth,
Was a heady presumption,
That now turns her lips sour,
She feels like easy seduction.
She was never your One,
Because your wife got there first,
But from you, just this one drink,
Will never cure her thirst.
From her heart to yours,
You were her saviour
And you still walked backwards
True love and its failure.

She was not enough.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A poem about a girl who gave her erm...flower.....to a Married man. I wrote a poem to share with my poetry friends instead of saying more to her. All she needed was my hug.
