Your Song Iii - Poem by Semeen Sultan

I could walk in the moonlight,
I could sing in the rain,
I could watch the sea shift and ripple,
And never feel the pain,

I could wrap the wind around me,
I could hug the rain drenched trees,
I could lie on the sand and take a moment,
And it would be ok with me.

I never needed anyone,
not you, not any other,
Till you rested your head on my shoulder
and rewrote the music forever.

But i want to go back,

I want to go back,
to that no mans land,
Back in time, the way i was
Before you stole me away.

Coz the rain is now in my tear drops,
The wind blows a chill through my heart,
The moon just stands outside my window
And I can hear it laugh,

I just want to go back.
