Your portrayal of an innocent shepherd
was the role you were best adored
With same elan you played the lord
and the ferocious king with a sword.
You are in every Kannada lovers heart
emperor of films, language and art
You were illiterate, but polite and smart
synonymous with Karnataka from the start.
You made us all feel proud and great
of our culture, language and the state
Never succumbed to the political bait
You are the greatest actor to date.
Dr Rajkumar was a Kannada movie actor, who played a major role in creating the identity of newly formed Karnataka state, through his apt use of Kannada language and Kannidiga lifestyle in all his movies. He is my favorite actor and will remail till the end.

truly a simple soul...happen to be going to sabarimala in the same group from chennai for quiet a few years..listened to his sweet singing on the way...this is a great tribute
A great actor he was indeed, a great man too.....there is no aspect of him that isn't great...his acting, his simplicity, his humbleness....his stern character and astute life....Dr.Rajkumar will live on as long as kannada and karnataka lives....'anna avarige jayavagali'
