The ocean made her feel free,
It made her feel real
She made a deal
With God to change her ways, so that she may again feel
The passion of love and to heal.
The bus journey is bumpy along an old Spanish road,
A man clean cut with brown melancholic eyes is staring at her,
He starts to talk to her they get off the bus together and they walk
By the free spirited ocean, passions are mingling with the southerly breeze,
Her feelings are in free flow
Her face is aglow,
Her destructive nature is a reaction to loneliness, confusion and intrusion,
She is friendly and sometimes loud as she clings to the very edge,
She drinks to feel real
To allow her thoughts to feel,
The man with the brown melancholic eyes,
Is making her heart whole and she knows she is real
He is the deal
Love is crashing onto her beach
Emotions are within reach,
The man is here to love her and to teach
Her that alcohol has made her a prisoner,
She loves him without the fear of pain, as they stroll together along the beach,
The ocean"s waves crash onto the shore
She wants no more
Of destruction
The man with the brown melancholic eyes
Looks at her like she is a beautiful sensation,
Life is now a constant elation.
It is a brilliant poem on nature, sensation and addiction having touching expression with nice penmanship. I quote.... She wants no more Of destruction The man with the brown melancholic eyes Looks at her like she is a beautiful sensation, Life is now a constant elation. Thanks for sharing.10
Destructive nature is well woven into these words, highs and lows, very well written! ! ! !
Your characters are always very real in your poetry as they struggle with life and themselves. You give us the humanness of people and make us aware in such a way that leads to compassion, not judgment, never judgment. 10+++++++++++++++
''She wants no more Of destruction The man with the brown melancholic eyes Looks at her like she is a beautiful sensation, Life is now a constant elation. '' - Love, love indeed can heal everything! Holiday-makers fall in love all the time; sometimes it is just summer-love which adds to memories in old age; sometimes though, it is true love which could last a lifetime. As always, your poems come straight from the heart.
Looks at her like she is a beautiful sensation, Life is now a constant elation.......................................... May these feelings last for ever! Let this be a new beginning! Alcohol makes one a prisoner! So true, the earlier one realizes it, the better! The poem is beautifully rendered
'Love is crashing onto her beach Emotions are within reach' - A superb depiction at the right place of the poem. The concluding stanza is awesome, and the last line, 'life is now a constant elation', an icing on the cake!
