between these two shores
i float like a dead leaf
am not dead either..
if i was i will not feel the pain
budded flowered and became a fruit
on one shore
eaten and as a bare stray seed laid
at the other shore
as a seed i did germinate
the mother root grew into a tree
an off spring flower and fruit came by
all along as a seed i thought i was the tree itself
I NEVER THOUGHT I WILL LOOSE
MY IDENTITY AS A SEED
CAN A TREE SHOW ITS SEED
EVEN IF IT WANTS TO
ALL ALONG...
I thought i was the tree itself
may be i was a part of each part
the stem to hold, the leaf to nourish
till fate wind blew me down as a dead leaf
today as a dead leaf i float
wanting a living from one shore
wanting relationship from the other
as a dead leaf i float..am not dead with pain
ALL ALONG....
I DID THINK I WAS THE TREE ITSELF
BEING JUST A SEED
A seed is the very foundation of a tree, but needs fresh soil and time to grow into a majestic tree (TREES AND LEAVES) A very well penned poem, keep it up! 10+++
In the scheme of creations, even a dead leaf can claim its importance, as seen from this nice poem.
Its so powerful a poem! Its such a thought provoking piece!
your images are always so vivid and powerful that one gets lost in the poem. this one has powerful message and drws a parallel with life. quite stimulating and thoughfully written....identity of a seed is the tree itself yet it cant show the seed..arent we all like a seed, a tree, a leaf at times...floating between the two shores and then ultimately going back to the soil from which we came....i liked this poem, only I feel in the 4th stanza, there is an extra S in the word SHOWS..shouldn't it be ' CAN A TREE SHOW ITS SEED....Pls see.
' I NEVER THOUGHT I WILL LOOSE MY IDENTITY AS A SEED CAN A TREE SHOWS ITS SEED EVEN IT WANTS TOO...' Very provoking piece. A very well penned Enjoyed reading it Thanks for sharing with me 10++
