A Dragonfly In Our Garden

Rating: 5.0

A Dragonfly In Our Garden

A dragonfly still alive
lay shivering in the sun,
so pitifully beaten up,

but it's still alive, and it can't fly anymore,
I just took a snapshot,
since dragonflies are so rare,
but life is what it is
survive if you can, if there is still life,
but this is pretty wrong!

I brought the lovely dragonfly to the shade in my ivy,
and returns it to nature,
meanwhile, Luna is sunbathing with her back,
and she looks as if nothing had occurred,

I'm terribly upset
Luna, look what have you done? !

A Dragonfly In Our Garden
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Luna does not love to lay on our terrace only, BUT she likes very much to catch all those flying insects in our garden. Is a dragonfly also an insect? I doubt that, but I found a dying dragonfly in my garden. I know that Luna did it.

Nice one; During childhood we used to chase and catch dragonflies. Nicely inked.

A well told real life story. The life-death drama, survival, not always easy for the more fragile. A well written, differently interesting poem. cher, Sylvia.

So beautifully poignant. That's so true of life. Big things kill small ones. Nature has her ways. Some things seem so unjustifiable but we have to accept them. Bravo my friend!
