A Place In Time Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Place In Time

Rating: 4.8

I've walked the mountains far and wide,
It's beauty holds tranquility,
Back then my family by my side,
Those memories mean the world to me.

The sunshine on a Sunday morn,
The butterflies that gaily danced,
Around the flowers everywhere,
that touched my heart at every glance.

Those mountains hold a special key,
That opens memories every day,
A special time,
The place for me,
A place in time along life's way.

Your last stanza is my favorite! I gave 4 stars **** for A Place In Time. I suppose I have several 'places' in MY time as well, e.g. the 'penny candy store' across from my elementary school when I was in grades K-2, and McDonald's (for ice cream. bri : )

For consistency, I will assume that you, Jayne, wished to Capitalize 'that' in this line: 'that touched my heart at every glance.'

In these lines: 'I've walked the mountains far and wide, It's beauty holds tranquility, ' I SUGGEST 'their' rather than 'It's' and 'It's' should be 'Its', of course. : ) bri
