A Silly Poem (by Spike Milligan)
एक बेतुकी कविता (स्पाइक मिलिगन)
Hindi Translation by Rajnish Manga
हिंदी रूपांतरण रजनीश मंगा द्वारा
Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?
2B or not 2B?
हेमलेट ने आॅफ़िलिया से कहा,
मैं तुम्हारा एक स्केच बनाना चाहता हूँ,
भला कौन सी पेंसिल ठीक रहेगी?
2बी ऑर नॉट टू बी?
i have visited and left a comment at Spike's poem, along with YOUR Hindi translation. To MyPoemList and into November or a later Showcase, i think. thanks for translation of the India-born and educated, but mostly residing-in-England poet/comedian (i'd never heard of) : Spike Milligan. bri :)
I am glad that this tiny poem could draw your attention and appreciation. Thank you, Bri.
The poem is silly but it's soul is lilly Which blooms in full moon fully
Thanks for enjoying reading this poem and for a beautiful feedback.
Very thoughtful I came a second time to decide to read urs 2C or not 2C and Please don't read it as sea just C
Ha, ha, ha....... This is such a funny and an interesting poem. Shakespeare's characters of his play and a play itself- to be or not to be' so well co-ordinated and integrated here with the the light and dark pencils. Though it is titled a silly poem, i think it is brilliant........10
