Though Einstein continued to live a normal life
With his wife and children in Zurich,
His thoughts were always of Elsa.
He began to write secret letters to her
Expressing his love for her, but burdened
With a responsibility towards his family.
Mileva's legs were always weak,
She could not walk normally like others,
A limp from her childhood made it difficult
For her to move around freely.
Now, her leg pain worsened, with much pain.
But Albert, had no compassion or tolerance for her ailment.
Whenever Mileva complained about her suffering,
Albert got angry and irritated with her.
Her sickness curtailed her daily household chores.
Mostly, she remained downcast, depressed and frustrated.
Their second son Eduard needed much care and attention.
A sensitive child with indifferent health, so difficult to handle!
During this period, Albert made a visit to Paris with Mileva,
To give a lecture in Paris and they were invited by the famed Marie Curie.
Later, Albert and Mileva made a trip to Hungary with Hans and Eduard,
To see their grandparents and to get their children baptized in an orthodox Greek church. Again, a trip to Vienna together, where Dr. Einstein gave a lecture on ‘Gravitational Theory'. After the lecture, Mileva went back home to Zurich.
What did clever Dr. Albert Einstein do?
He made a trip alone to Berlin for some work.
A place he did not like at all, these past years.
They say, a place is defined by the people who live in it. Well,
Dr. Einstein's main attraction in Berlin was not physics.
This time, it was a secret rendezvous, with his new love Elsa!
A Biographical Poem
Very true madam our memories draw us back to our destiny. Bad feelings cut them off and good memories make us to live there even more. It's heart touching. But this attitude of Einstein towards his live of youth not at all acceptable. Very sad for Mileva.
