Albert Einstein loved music.
He began lessons in playing violin
Right from the age of six.
He enjoyed music,
As a player and as a listener too.
Later, he learnt to play piano as well.
This love for music lasted throughout his life.
Albert's passion for music has been discussed
And written about by many writers and musicians.
He played his violin with much enthusiasm.
There have been both praises and criticism for his music.
A professional violinist, once remarked that
Einstein "fiddled like a lumberjack",
Many others thought that his music did not
Deserve world recognition,
As there were many great violinists,
Who were experts and played violin in a superior way!
Whatever people may have opined or remarked
About Einstein's ability to play violin,
What mattered most was his keen enjoyment of music.
Music had a soothing and calming influence on his mind.
Albert once remarked in an interview in 1929,
"If I were not a physicist,
I would probably be a musician.
I live my day dreams in music,
I see my life in terms of music.
I get most of my joy in life out of music."
