Sometimes silent sorrows
seep into our souls.
Sadness saturates our days
and casts deep shadows
on our sleepless nights.
Satan tries to tell us
that we have no hope,
that life is not worth living,
that we have sinned
and cannot be forgiven.
Satan lies.
It is what he does.
It is something he has done
for countless millennia.
God loves you
and longs for you
to return to Him.
Repentance is real.
The miracle of forgiveness
awaits those who
forsake their sins
and return to Christ.
You may become famous Ron! " Sorrows seep" and: sadness saturates" are both metaphors! Keep it up!
A wonderfully penned composition. Simply uplifting....10++
Brian Johnston, you poor, misinformed earthling! " Sorrows seep" and: sadness saturates" are NOT metaphors at all! They are examples of ALLITERATION!
Repentance! ! Overcoming the odds! Lies from Satan! ! ! ! ! Deceiving the whole world. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Top marks for boldly telling the truth. And I loved the alliteration of first stanza and it worked! ! !
Beautiful poem on hope and spirituality. Thank you Ron williams and thank you for visiting my page. Your Bio is an inspiration in itself.
A profound spiritual rendition with an inspirational fragrance. Remain blessed, Cowboy Ron.

Preaching to the choir old friend though some might say your verse leaves them blank? Is it possible to " return" to Christ when He is always there and Grace is His Gift to all sinners? Isn't even a " dyed in the wool" atheist who somehow has Christ in His heart as much a Christian as you or I? That's my humble opinion anyhow. Hint to a new poet among us: " Sadness seeps, sorrow saturates" are metaphors! Ha!
