All That's Left Poem by Practicing Poetess

All That's Left

Rating: 5.0

All that's left is one slice of cake
Upon the plate, to commemorate
Another year gone by, so fast
Another birthday now is past.

The candles all blown out, and dishes
To be washed, post birthday wishes
May your biggest wish come true,
And may this year be good to you.

There will be another one next year. Birthdays are a good excuse/reason to eat cake! Thanks for reading, Edward Kofi! : -)

This is very good. I remember after a party, I would feel this way. The climax of it all over, and now this is what's left! Magnificently presented in this short and very relatable poem! .
