Alone In The Dark - Poem by Janae Woodfield

Ropin' and Ridin', Our home range devidin'
The time that we've spent, Getin' by on every last cent,
Soon to end, cuz I'm gona be with you again.

Life in the fast lane, Tryin' to end my pain,
With whisky and wine,
Hopin' you'll end it all and say you'll be mine.

But you never call, Cuz you're always on the road,
Tryin' for eight seconds, While I'm here alone,
Waitin' in the dark, With no one for company but my broken heart.

Sitin' by the phone,
Wishin' you were here,
So I could have my Cowboy,
And enjoy his sweet company, And some T.V. and beer.

But you never call, Cuz you're always on the road,
Tryin' for eight seconds, While I'm here alone,
Waitin' in the dark, With no one for company but my broken heart.

Ropin' and Ridin', Our home range devidin'
The time that we've spent, Getin' by on every last cent,
Soon to end, cuz I'm gona be with you again.
