Another Fresh New Year
It seems it comes so often
A fresh New Year once more
So many make their lists of
What they want to have in store.
So often it is losing weight
Something I know so well
It would not be a problem
If my tummy wouldn't swell.
I have to laugh a little bit
I hated to be thin
Here I am the opposite
So it kind of makes me grin.
Last year wasn't too bad
No surgeries for me
No surgeries coming up
In the New Year, thankfully.
Okay, I'm one year older
That's good though, I think
I could be filling up the space
With my headstone in a blink.
So I am going to just drift along
Into the next year peacefully
A wonderful fresh New Year
Is quite perfect, I think, for me.
