Apprenticeship - Poem by Constant Ngozi

Ambling home after an exhausted day
The moon aiding in sun’s stead

The moon. Up there
Like a round plate, glowed yellow
Apprentice to the sun it played
Apprentice to the sun it plays

The sun. The chief-Muse
protecting, encouraging, inspiring
beauty, life even death,
makes of all apprentices

Apprenticing to the Muse,
Scenes and Acts
Paragraphs and Chapters
Lines and Verses
Create anew today –yesterdays, todays, tomorrows.
