April Shower Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

April Shower

Rating: 5.0

The dark clouds are moving
And rolling towards me,
The blue skies are lost
And are drowned by the grey,
Above the horizon
The sun is still shining,
While clouds are approaching
And heading this way.

The dark clouds are moving
And drifting above me,
Thet race through the air
And then rain starts to fall,
They shine in the sunlight
Like droplets of silver,
And sprinkle the ground
But will soon cover all.

The dark clouds are moving
And slowly are passing,
The puddles are forming
And thunder rolls too,
The darkness is lifting
The sight of a rainbow,
Is arching above
Such a marvellous view.

A Spring rain can be so refreshing as are your word here. You bring out the 'desirable' qualities, even of a thunder storm. Thanks Richard

WHY did I know that there was going to be a rainbow at the end? Very well projected and with so much faith.... Behind every dark clowd lies a rainbow.... I trully enjoyed this one, but I like truthfully enjoy all of yours..... Bonnie

Very nice, Andrew. I can feel the air and see the sky just as you describe. I love to read and write poems about the weather - especially the rain. Best Wishes, Marilyn
