As The Sun Rose - Poem by Mugdha Khedkar
As the sun rose
he brought a colorful show,
he looked like gold
when he glistened on the snow.
The sun peeped from the hills
to greet him the rivers flowed,
plants yawned, opened their eyes
they saw him and bowed.
The dew that had wet them fell
as they moved to and fro,
the birds woke up with a start
to witness the spectacular show!
The hills arose as he came,
he peeped to look at the road,
amazed people stared at him
as he gloriously glowed.
I suddenly stopped walking,
for a moment I froze,
and stared blankly into the sky
as the sun rose! ! ! !
