Sailing through uncharted waters,
The shores are too far.
High tides are frightening,
Will I sink in the deep waters.
Will I be the prey of those ferocious creatures,
Or will I touch the underwater reef.
My heart is burning,
Melting my inner being and body
My mind is weary in thoughts,
Of the land to which am sailing.
World is corrupt and the people dwelling,
Hatred, jealousy, envy and selfishness, are consuming the peace
The menace which cannot be eliminated, There is no better place to live
Lord take me up to the heaven,
To escape from this dark realities
Where I can dream a beautiful world,
World full love and no sorrows.
Lovely , very natural expression.... enjoyed it like a hot pizza
There is something very unsettling about the vastness of the ocean, especially when known landmarks and familiar horizons are lost to sight. You capture this very well in the vividness of your writing, then develop the basis for the heaviness of heart communicated by the extended metaphor. How we all of human hearts long to see the end of suffering and pain, especially when the occasions are as vast as the ocean around us. A well crafted, and poignantly beautiful piece of writing. Bravo, good poet. :) S
Hi Rini, I fear, you have got it wrong, when you say - -World full love and no sorrows- It is said, it is the sorrows of life that makes the smallest happiness in our lives valuable... If life were a bed of roses, you would definitely hate roses! !
We can convert our sorrows into happiness but we cannot change the corrupt world...Thanks
The corruption of the world! ! Oh mankind! Thanks for sharing.
Amidst all these problems I have to live.......with God's grace......your thoughts are very very natural......beautifully expressed in your lucid style.......
